McCarthy's Board of Education Responsibilities

What are your feelings on this?

If they can't analyze these matters, then how can they vote for or against them. Auditors cannot possibly provide the full report.

Not to mention the fact that the BOE is part of the big picture, yes?

Therefore by McCarthy's," micromanagement," of everything, he is lessening the impact of the BOE and thus prohibiting a group effort towards a greater good.

He creates the Dr. McCarthy show into which everyone buys into.

 

Mr. McCarthy needs to be reminded of the fact he works for the taxpayers and is accountable to the BOE, not the other way around. If he sees the BOE as "meddling and interfering" in what he says and does, too bad!! Having him solely in charge of spending is like having a wolf watching the hen house!

The Board Of Educations Duties are to full fill the rights of the district residents and students, the directives of the voters, the Financial Stability of the district, and above all insure the educational process of the state of NY is upheld and enforced by the employed administration staff.
The Board of Education is the Elected Executive Board and the adminsitrative staff (including the superintendant of the school system and the business manager) report to the Board of Education and the Board of Education has the duty to dismiss, hire and redirect job duties under the constitution of the state of NY governing any governement enenity district.

Mr. Mccarthy is once agian incorrect in his explaination of how he and the business adminitrator have the final say on everything. It is time for Mr. McCarthy to go back to his home in Cherry Valley and enjoy all of the taxpayer supplies he has foraged away in his garage there while on our dime.

 

The BOE's responsibity is not to micro manage but to lead. This dysfunctional board is to busy with their own agendas to act as a governing board

Very Simple Really,
The district has had poor management for the past 10-15 years. The taxpayers are tired of the spend thrift ways that have shoved the " we will get what we want no matter what" attitude of the administration.
The general public knows we are in hard economic times and they themselves are struggling to get by. The school administration has their own agenda and that is to keep raising pay grades for the educators (as well as themselves) because they can do it and no one can stop them.
The public knows we have a flawed education system. Just look at what NYS EDU has forced on the students. They have forced technology down the throats of everyone so far, that we cannot find any students or programs for students that support them to go into the building trades, mechanical trades, etc.
They have brainwashed the kids into "if you are not at the control of a computer, you won't evr make a living" philosophy.
The general public is fed up and the only way they can make a difference is to vote the budgets down and keep voting them down until the administration wakes up!
 

Tax payers pay for employees to do those jobs. Board members should utilize them, not do it themselves.

 Good grief, this is like having a wolf watching the hen house!! Are you kidding me? McCarthy being financially responsible? Then not answering to the BOE, who employs him? Lets remind Mr. McCarthy who the employer is!! He works for the BOE and the taxpayers of this community, not the other way around.

The man if just not reality based! The BOE needs to grill him on money spent, whether he likes it or not.

McCarthy needs to go now. The budget depends on it and so does our kids future! Also what is with this dwi high school teacher Micheal Yeager!! How is he still teaching at our high school. This is an outrage, the whole community doesn't like yeager as a teacher or a baseball coach if you can even call him that. I've talked to the Varisty team and they all say they would do better without Yeager. Yeager doesn't do anything for that team and he can't teach either. I have a son in his autocad class and he just sits there all day, he tells them to do work out of the book and has not teached them all year! And the stories i hear of him coming in to school with hangovers. Its just uncalled for. We all know why he's still employed, because of his buddy McCarthy there. Something needs to be done now! You look at other teachers everywhere else that have been arrested on dwi and they all have been fired!! Right away. Just look it up online. Our school needs to stop hiding behind
closed doors.
 

Physical or philosophical intervention? Didn't Philo and Dalaba bring more of a physical intervention????

That is the way it should be. "Micromanagement" by BOE can lead to members pursuing the benefit of a party other than the public.
